The finish is characterized by notes of toasted spice and leather. On the palate, it begins with sweet, vanilla notes from the bourbon and transitions into smoke, browned butter, and peat. There is an undercurrent of dark, stone fruits throughout. The finish is rich with spicy notes of nutmeg and cinnamon upon a bed of leather and oak wood. A bit of a rougher, spicy experience with a pleasant bit of burn in the throat that settles into a warm glow in the chest. Best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water.
