Skelly añejo Azulejos by Tita
Tequila Añejo — Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico, USA

Had the opportunity to try this at a friend's house and while I am generally not a tequila guy I figured I'd pen a review. This bottle had the little mariachi hat to complete his outfit.
Nose here is like a vanilla cupcake. This is not a normal tequila to start. I am getting only the faintest of typical agave notes on the nose.
First sip is not what I expected from the nose. There is more of a bite than I expect from an anejo. Quite a strong peppery flavor with light vanilla hints. I am not loving this one overall.
I have seen some reviews comparing this to Adictivo or Padre Azul, but I am not really getting that. It definitely is a different vein of tequila, but it doesn't hit the smoothness I like in the anejos and extra anejos. Of course take this all with a grain of salt since I am definitely not a huge tequila fan. Not terrible for a tequila, but not one I would go back for seconds on.
