My dad and I are BLOWN away by this whisky. The Autumn 2020 bottlings boast a shockingly dark no-color-added and non-chill filtered whisky that is probably one of the darkest and most complex 12 year old single malts I've ever tried.
Aside from peppery vanilla and butterscotch notes on the nose, I also smell a bit of coconut, tropical fruits, and dried fruit. The 46% ABV allows the whisky to take a bit of water very well. This whisky has a long and lingering mouthfeel that spreads across the tongue. The primary tasting notes I notice are toasted sugar, butterscotch, coconut, black pepper, and raisins. Overall, I am incredibly impressed with this line of whiskies, and I highly recommend it.
