Nose: light nose, didn’t get much off the nose some vanilla, mild sweetness
Taste: pale tasting, only got the rye, mild spice that faintly lingers. Seems really watered down.

@Bergkampgunner yeah I usually really enjoy Texas whiskeys so I was really surprised with one. That being said everyone’s palate is so different and I do tend to enjoy more heat and flavor in juice and this one just didn’t do it for me. It could of been a bad bottle or pour so if you’re intrigued I would say try it. Maybe find it at a bar so you’re not spending as much 🤷♀️ I have not tried any of their 12 years and would still give those a shot.
Dang. My experience with Texas whiskey (mostly Garrison) has tasted anything but watered down I’ve been reading up on them recently and like the story. I was about to grab a bottle or two of this and/or from the single barrel line from a store in Chicago. They aren’t cheap though and this is concerning! Have you had any of the 12 year single barrels?
@Bergkampgunner yah unfortunately I had tally high hopes for this one and it just didn’t follow through. I tried the whole line and found all of them pretty lack luster.
Are you sure you’re reviewing the right thing? According to the picture this says it’s 60.9% and it tastes watered down? That would be a disappointment!!
