Scott-Browning
Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Blended Malt — Scotland

Johnnie Green used to be my favorite blended malt. Sadly, however, the 2015 re-release isn't nearly as good as the previous version. The new version is much sweeter, with little of the Talisker smoke and Caol Ila peat that balanced the sweetness in the previous version. Still a decent vatted malt. But simply not in the same class as the now-discontinued version. Too bad.

Thanks, Davie, for the comment. I guess it is strange that many "sincere, experienced whisky appreciators" disagree with my opinion about JWG. What can I say?
It's strange how your negative opinion seems to contradict my own personal experience and those of many sincere, experienced whisky appreciators on forums across the net... This release is perfectly comparable to the last. Different? Of course, all whisky changes year to year, but "simply not in the same class... Too bad." ...? We do not acquiesce.
