First tried this on a pub crawl in London where, after several pints of bitters and late night Shwarmas, a Glasgowian lass insisted on giving me a proper introduction to the varieties of Scotch. Islay was naturally the last taste. The salty sea, peat, and smoke wrapped around me like the fogs on the moors of Scotland where I spent my 10th year (not drinking Scotch). "I like this one best", I said.
