Peaky Blinder Blended Irish Whiskey might be the worst whiskey I've ever tasted. Supposedly there's blackcurrent and apple on the palate, but the nose and palate is so vile that it almost tastes like sewage water. I don't know whether I've had the bad luck of buying a bottle from a bad batch, or if the whisky itself is bad; I tend to think the latter. Stick to Jameson if you want a good blended Irish whiskey.
It's frustrating as I tried Peaky Blinder at a bar once and I thought it was pretty good, which was the reason I bought a bottle. Turns out that at that bar, I was drinking a version that was aged in Sherry casks; the bottle that I bought was aged in Bourbon casks (it also had a different bottle design). Unfortunately, in the Netherlands you can currently only get the latter version.
