Nose: neat: red fruit, juicy fruit gum caramel, vanilla. Near the end of my 2 ounces I got a faint burnt sugar creme brulle deliciousness.
Body: medium to full
Palate: extremely smooth if this goes to the back palate. More peppery, prickly if I let it sit on the front palate, but still a very smooth dram. Flavor wise pretty standard fare with caramel, vanilla with red fruits again. It tastes like it smells and it noses nice. I think the thing that stands out is the pure sweetness of this dram.
Finish: medium to long with more vanilla and a surprising long faint smoke in the background which I love.
Note: finally getting around to putting in a review. I’m half way through this bottle. Just started distribution in minnesota. My first impressions are this is delicious. More flavor than the standard small batch. My initial impression was holy smokes this is amazing but now half way through the bottle I’m more in the “this is really good, but maybe not as good as I thought initially”. It pairs wonderfully with vanilla bark covered Oreo balls.
