Phenols at 55 ppm (others measure them at between 42-70, perhaps for different bottlings). Ardbeg new make comes in at 24-26 ppm. Aged in ex-bourbon casks (and perhaps 2nd and 23rd fill as well). https://youtu.be/Hej_fqmNl74. Very peaty. Not necessarily the scotch that you start off with, but this is the one that made me truly love scotch.
Aroma: campfire smoke, ash, sea air, burnt meat and charcoal
Palate: citrus (lemon, lime, maybe orange), vanilla, pepper, sweet grain, shortbread
Finish: medium, sweet and peppery
Overall: excellent, especially for lovers of a sweet spirit and heavy smoke
