The nose of the whiskey features notes of caramel, browned butter, and a bare hint of banana.
On the palate, the whiskey has a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. The vanilla of the white oak casks is present in the body of the taste. There are notes of cinnamon, that carry into the finish of the taste. It is in the finish that the rum cask comes to the fore with a dark, rich spiciness. The aftertaste features a buttery sweetness.
