Benji-Robert
George Dickel 15 Year Tennessee Single Barrel
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed

Bottle #190, 50.6% (wild dickel 101?)
Nose
Cinnamon, dried maple syrup, oak tannin, hazelnut, tiny tiny bit of mineral vanilla at the very end
Palate
Mixed nuts, cherry syrup, nutmeg, dry oak that only pops by to remind you of its age, no heavy oak tannins or barrell influence. The "dr pepper" spicy note comes in with the follow up sips.
Mouth
Smooth for the proof but nothing special at all. Finish is on the longer side, but it doesnt really matter considering its eminently forgettable.
Makes a fantastic sour (fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, hard shake). Was "okay" in an old fashioned. Neat/rocks/shot it was honestly kinda boring theres way more satisfying drama at lower price points.
It doesnt have any major drawbacks, but I expect a lot more from $60 bottle. Felt like I just paid for the age and not attention to final product detail.
Profile-wise it's like Gentleman with way more robust depth. For mixing it seemed like bird dog 7yr with triple the price tag.
