Nose - pink lemonade, blackberry jam, grape, lemon zest, moderate ethanol burn.
Taste - grape jelly, blackberry, lemonade, cinnamon, toffee, vanilla, mint, rich simple syrup, mild to moderate alcohol bite, finishing medium long with grape, lemonade, and making spice flavors.
This is one of the better flavored whiskies I’ve tasted. It’s not quite as syrupy and cloying as most of the others. There’s a nice mix of sweet, sour, and spice that almost makes it sippable. Almost, but not quite. I bet this would be really tasty with coke. I’ll keep this one in mind if I ever decide to buy a full bottle of flavored whiskey. I probably won’t though.

@Soba45 The search continues! Haha I’ll happily be that guy for the time being.
@ctbeck11 Some one has to take one for the team and review these drinks..rather you than me..haha :-). Extremely occasionally you get lucky and one tastes not to bad!
@PBMichiganWolverine Haha not purposefully, but it kinda seems like it this week. But generally, I’m open to trying almost anything. That enthusiasm to explore everything will most likely change with time.
@Soba45 Yep, I think I’m still in that phase. I’ve only been serious with the hobby for slightly over a year, so I’m a complete novice. Buying miniatures and swapping samples have been the cheapest ways for me to get a wider range of experience without breaking the bank. That said, I purchased these flavored whiskies months ago and have been finding excuses to not drink them. Not planning to pick up any new ones, unless I receive a strong recommendation.
@ctbeck11 are you back on the “ I need to recalibrate my pain threshold so I can appreciate the good stuff again” ?
Ah this reminds me of my early experimental days on spirits. If it was available I drank it..a bit like when I was a student and managed a video store and watched most new releases :-). These days like movies unless it's got a high distiller/imdb rating i just don't go there...it just gets to exhausting tasting and wasting time, money and taste buds on crap!
@Benji-Robert I can see why this would be great with lemonade. And it wasn’t good, but I’ve had much much worse.
its delicious with lemonade, but nosing it and taking a serious drink of it sounds like a punishment.
@pkingmartin Nope! Immediately thrown in the trash after drinking about a half ounce to get enough for the review. Whiskey fruit salad sounds enticing though.
@ContemplativeFox Haha it’d have to be a very good flavored whiskey to break into the twos for me. They’re closer to syrup than liquor for me.
Are you keeping a small amount of each of these to make a whiskey fruit salad at the end of this dreadful flavored whiskey journey?
