I got this for Father’s Day- I was secretly hoping for it, because it’s an extravagant gift. I’m a huge fan of the 12 already and I’ve heard great things about this one. It’s a very smooth, complex scotch- it has a wonderful oak aroma and palette, that the 12 doesn’t have. Hard to pinpoint- it’s not an oak bomb, but there’s a nice lingering oak character in throughout the experience. Nothing overpowers anything else. Super smooth and easy drinking. No water. Definitely different that the 12. Is it worth double the price over the 12? I don’t think so, Because the 12 is so good. But every now and then, this will be a go to.
