Its pleasantly sweet and I get the impression that the neutral spirit was obtained and existed on its own for some time before being infused with herbs. This neutral spirit wasnt made with gin being its end game, it just ended up being used that way. Either way I assume this is going to be used for cocktails with a hundred ingredients so in that case who cares. If you are drinking it neat and are mad and underwhelmed, you will then remember what little you paid for it and shrug and be happy again.
