A lot of hype surrounding this one. First impression, it has nice legs in the glass. It smells well balanced. Nothing overpowering the other. Vanilla, limestone, additional minerals I can’t quite hammer down specifically, and a slight hint of cherry. The taste is bland. Again, it’s all well balanced. It’s difficult to pick out specific flavors because everything is neatly stacked and overlapping one another. The oak and dried wood dust notes are there. Not very sweet or fruity. It’s dry. Very smooth and an easy drink to enjoy. I believe new bourbon drinkers would find this delightful. I was able to snag this for $30 which is fair and where it belongs instead of the outrageous price tags I’ve seen on this bottle elsewhere. It’s a good mid-level bourbon.
