Well Ive read a lot of middling reviews on this but I think the story is changing. Researched a bit and Im liking where these guys are going with a strong commitment to quality. Poured neat, nose is jumping out of glass with spicy woods, salted caramel, dusty books and a hint of rye dill masked behind light raspberry. Sewing machine oil mouthfeel brings bold palate of melted caramel and butter, salty charred barrel and a spicy sizzle. Its not overtly peppery like some WT and FR offerings just a high rye and chile flake warming heat with some baking spice flair. Finish is tongue depressor and sweet butter with pipe tobacco joining fading spicy caramel. Dries out a bit but it works. Its said they are sourcing BF now but doesn't taste like any that Ive had. It may be in house juice I dunno but its been long enough I believe that to be possible. I find this well balanced with deep bourbon flavors that keep you sippin. Its not complex just delivers what a whiskey drinker wants.......87/100......At $40ish I do not find this overpriced and would take it over most lower cost choices. If I see any other variety of Michters bottles on the shelf I will buy........the unblended is great too

@Ctrexman noted. I did see the small batch, rye, and sour mash.
@Spirited_Away I would go with the Unblended if given a choice its a notch better imo but this small batch is solid
I keep eyeing this everytime I see it in my local shop, but promise myself "next time". Gonna pull the trigger after I finish my next bottle thanks to your review. I'm definitely interested. Sounds like a nice daily/anytime.
