Classic Irish notes on the nose. Shortbread cookie, apple, slightly metallic. Maybe red berries. I definitely taste the sherry on the palate along with the shortbread cookie. There’s a creaminess that I like too. Red fruits and malt show up for me on the finish. This is a great Irish whisky! There’s a lot to love for the ABV. 80 proof usually tastes watered down to me but this whisky brings a lot of flavor.
