Kilchoman Fèis Ìle 2021
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland

Beautifully crisp barley notes float above a smoky canvas with a hint of struck match. Silky smooth in the mouth, with citrus fruits and a healthy buzz of peat. The finish is slightly sweet, with no bitter notes. I find Kilchomans very variable but this is one of the loveliest I’ve tried. Wish I’d bought a bottle.

@Anthology And voila, I just scored a bottle at auction at its original price. I’ll message you when I have it!
@PBMichiganWolverine Yup. A sherry cask.
@Richard-ModernDrinking Jura !?!? Wow. Bottled by Jura ? They seem to screw up their own bottling
@PBMichiganWolverine This and the Jura, which was a big surprise.
@Anthology Save for your money for something that’s worth that price. I just spent that much on a 24-year-old Ben Nevis from 1996 and even that’s questionable value. This Kilchoman is a five-year-old that was priced at 100 pounds and ran to almost 3,000 bottles. Kilchoman rarely appreciates on the secondary market and often depreciates, so even with the cost of shipping from the UK you’d be better off trying to pick one up in an auction there. I’m keeping an eye out for one, so I’ll send you some if I manage to get.
@Richard-ModernDrinking Nice short and sweet review! (no pun intended with the finish 😊). Sounds promising! I’m seeing this for $280 in my market. Worth it at that price?
Was this best of the Feis Ile 2021?
