Bourbon notes jump out of the glass on the nose. I get vanilla and caramel. There are malty notes that remind me of the Loch Lomond 12 I own—like honeydew. Okay come on! That’s just good! This must be ex bourbon barrel. I taste sweet bourbon notes with the classic malt notes. There’s some fruitiness like cantaloupe or honeydew. I’d say the finish is the best part. I love the whiskies that have an espresso-type finish. It’s smooth and creamy like Irish cream.
