As a big fan and repeat customer of Jim beam black (plus all the higher end expressions) but an insane sale price of Jim beam white led me to finally make the purchase. I'm trying to think of another bourbon bottled at 40% and can't really (Though I don't typically look for entry level bourbon, this could very well be the norm). It really tastes like "bourbon light" and I don't really know what to do with it. It is all the flavors I like in a bourbon... vanilla, oak and caramel but it is all so muted and watered down its hard to enjoy. Even in cocktails it lacks the punch and I find myself having to drink twice as much at a time to be able to get enough of what I want. I guess the pro is I get drunk faster, but all the cons of a weak underwhelming drink outweigh this one aspect.
