Nose: Fresh fruit and briny notes are upfront which reminded me of an apple cider. Light peat notes round off the nose. Nicely balanced.
Taste: uniquely sweet and light peat with some light and crisp fruit flavors (green apple). Opened up to a briny, malt, and caramel notes. Pleasant and balanced.
Finish: Followed the nose with light peat and fresh fruit flavors. Dissipated quickly which was a little disappointing.
Overall I think this was an exceptional whisky. Very balanced and the nose followed through to the finish nicely. The finish could use more texture as the flavors seemed to disappear quickly. I believe it's missing some dried fruit notes to round off the crisp, fresh fruity flavors.
