Mild smokey iodine in the nose. Flavor starts off salty, but not briny. Then the smokey, peaty taste kicks in, along with oak and pepper. Mild finish, dry, peaty, and slightly bitter. Adding a few drops of water brings out some floral aromas and a slight sweetness. Definitely a favorite for me.
