Wolfburn Quarter Cask 2021 Release
Single Malt — Highland, Scotland
Reviewed
August 21, 2021
(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual ‘Peat in the wrong place’ Whisky Tasting, 20 August 2021).
Nose: Very sweet, fruit, citrus, salt. Hints of peat.
Palate: Sweet, grapes, sweet white wine, nutty/oaky, dried fruit, black pepper.
Finish: Long finish. Smoky, very sweet, souring on the aftertaste. Very light hints of peat.
This is a great, light and sweet dram. Not overpowering peat, light and approachable but with plenty of layers to keep it interesting. Lovely.
