The nose is peanut and cherry with a moderate amount of oak. The ethanol is not prominent on the nose for a 114 proof bourbon. On the mouth, the heat appears almost instantly with an oily mouthfeel. There is a large presence of oak and a bit of leather along with peanut and a faint sweetness throughout. This opens up with drops of water to have a slightly honied finish with cherry and a bit of smoke becoming more prominent. This is a seriously underrated bourbon for the price point that this is offered at, and I think its something that everyone can appreciate in some shape or form with water added.
