Pre-Distiller tasting. Maple syrup and anise on the nose. Taste has a lot going on adding pancakes and whipped cream with nutmeg and hints of cherry and citrus. Velvet mouthfeel. Back end turns toward dried cherries and the oak char lingers on a medium finish. Definitely more of a sipper than a mix.
