Cherry and vanilla on the nose.
Medium rye spice flavor profile, with cinnamon and like smokiness as well.
Average but pleasant finish.
Overall, I think you would be hard pressed to find a better rye for the price. It’s nothing crazy, but it gets the job done in the $30 range. Sweeter ryes such as Willett are much better, but Sazerac is clearly meant to excel in cocktails. It’s not bad neat either. I consider this a quintessential rye.
