Finished in White Port barrels for 18 months. 48.6% abv. Barrel #17296, Bottle #4.
The fact that more whiskies are not finished in white port is a shame. This is a subtle, light, and delicate whiskey. Finished in barrels that held wine of the same nature.
The nose is wedding cake, white grape juice, minerality, lemon curd, graham crackers, and burnt sugar.
The palate is toffee, white Swiss roll, milk chocolate, soft serve, and enough savory barrel character that it’s not nauseating.
