A rather neutral dram all things considered. The port finish comes through nicely but at the expense of the spirit itself. There's not much else behind the port facade. A little sweetness like butterscotch with a hint of salt. Otherwise any other notes seem too faint for me to pick out.
That being said the port aging gives a nice raisin/plum finish. It's not an amazing pour, but I don't think it's as lacking as some of the other reviews may suggest. I think it's a great choice for someone looking to explore some of the aspects of different finishing processes that can be done to enhance your spirits. I will have no qualms finishing my bottle ;)
