From start to finish. On the nose, poured maybe less than a minute rest Nose is rather blank, had to look for it and found acetone on first take.(and second) On tasting found same, looking for flavor finding acetone. Perhaps peanuts? Banana funk? One second taste, classic Bourbon going down, acetone on exhale and lingers. Surprising for a bottle that's only 90 proof. Take into account this was not the first tasting of the night, and I'm not convinced the others prior influenced both on the palate and in terms of inebriation. I look forward to another tasting, I had high hopes for Russell the reputation being so but today for me it fell short.
