Maker's Mark 46 French Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Nice rich nose with fruit and toasted caramel. That rich caramel continues on the palate. There's a smokey oak that comes through and some bittersweet chocolate. There are tastes and smells here that remind me of Weller 107, though it's not quite on par. It's far superior to Makers standard offering, which I've never really cared for. This is a solid bourbon at a good price.

@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington I got similar notes with Maker's FAE-01. I haven't tried any of the other wood finishing series, but I'm a fan of the ones I've had.
I think you’re onto something with the OWA comparison. Some of the stave profile offerings seem to punch in that range.
