Well, it's not bourbon - it's corn whisky (you can make bourbon from a 100% corn mash bill, though I don't know of anyone who does). Bourbon ages in new charred oak barrels, while corn whisky ages - if it ages at all - in either new uncharred barrels or in used charred barrels. The taste is thus going to be different.
