(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, 1st October 2021).
Nose: Waxy, oily, petrol, green leafy veg, toffee, butter (ghee). Hints of peat and orange marmalade.
Palate: Light peat, dry, toffee, sweet. Petrol, slightly sour butter. Cooked apple
Finish: Medium long finish. Very smooth. Toffee, penny caramels, chocolate, milky coffee
This is a great, slightly dirty tasting whisky. Smooth, layered and chocolatey on the finish. Delicious!
Uses brewers yeast - making it more old fashioned in style.
Came joint last out of the six drams, with 0% (0 votes) of the final vote for favourite of the night. 90% (9 votes) of those present said they enjoyed the whiskey.
