Laws Centennial Straight Wheat Whiskey
Wheat Whiskey — Colorado, USA

The nose starts off with a youthful astringency reminiscent of applying hand sanitizer in which the alcohol hits hard before fading yet remains in the background of notes frosted shredded whole wheat cereal followed by dehydrated tart cherries, apple chips then light floral notes that transitions to black pepper and fresh cedar wood chips with a medium ethanol burn.
The taste is a thin mouthfeel starting with that youthful astringency that blocks any notes before finally fading to reveal frosted shredded whole wheat cereal followed by cherry flavored NyQuil, apple chips then light floral notes that transitions to black pepper and fresh laid bags of cedar wood chips with a medium ethanol burn.
The finish is short with cherry flavored NyQuil, shredded whole wheat cereal, roasted chestnuts, black pepper and fresh cedar wood chips.
Comparing this to the Henry Road Straight malt, this is slightly better but still youthful and offensive. I think the company might reconsider changing their name to CRIMES instead of LAWS because there have been some crimes committed to my palate with these whiskies so far.
A big thanks to @ctbeck11 for the generous sample for me to taste.

@pkingmartin nail in the coffin - it almost makes me want to try a pour to see how they could go so wrong.
I feel like we have a good consensus here that LAWS is terrible overpriced swill.
I haven't liked Laws either. I feel like it has a lot of hype, but few people actually seem to like it.
I had two Laws offerings while waiting for a 6 hour flight delay out of Denver. Both were bad. After two back to back misses, I refuse to buy any other one from them
CRIMES indeed! The first bottle of Laws I bought was the four grain BIB. That was also the last bottle of Laws I bought.
@Benji-Robert Thanks and good call staying away from these! @ctbeck11 Haha yep! 50% through these and hopefully the online liquor stores stop emailing me ads for them after my reviews are done.
crimes had me dying, colorado seems to have enough tater pockets to keep this being made but I've never even thought about trying 90% of their offerings based on reviews
Only two left until you can put this awfulness behind you!
