Lots of reviews have talked about the rich and velvety texture. I’d say that’s the best aspect of this whisky. It’s good but not great. Cherry and cream on the nose and follows through with the same on the palate. Not a lot of complexity, but a very drinkable and enjoyable dram. I’d be happy serving this is a flight to give an affordable example of port barrel aging.
