Nice salty, brine on the nose. Dark berry notes when I gently swirl the glass. Good nose! I could just sit here and smell this for a while.
Bright fruity notes on the palate to start. Then iodine, sea salt, black pepper. The peat is more like cigar smoke than campfire. Nice thick mouth feel.
Strong, smokey finish. Call me crazy but I get a tiny bit of orange and black tea notes after the smoke clears. Again, think ashy smoke.
Super interesting whisky! Nothing sharp or off-putting. The flavors blend well together. Very smooth and buttery.
