Barrel # 20-0373
Rickhouse B floor 4
Proof 110
Nose- oaky, mildly charred, vanilla, touch of cinnamon, dark fruit/figgy
Palate- vanilla, sweet dark fruit like a fig jam, hint of smoke/char, viscous mouthfeel and coats mouth nicely, comfortable spice and heat for the proof
Finish- sweet oaky vanilla, mild spice, long
Overall this is one of the best bottles of bourbon I have had, especially for the price. It doesn’t have a harsh alcohol flavor for 110 proof but warms the chest nicely. Definitely great for fall or winter. The nose and palate are complex and have opened up nicely over the past few weeks. It started vanilla heavy but became more balanced as the bottle opened up with great charred oak and dark fruit flavor. I ended up buying a few extra bottles to enjoy throughout the winter with friends. Highly recommend trying these store picks.
