This was recommended yesterday at the BC spirit release. Pretty good value for a 15 year old I thought.
The first thing I noticed was the incredibly oily/creamy mouthfeel; and the wonderful nose it has- think apple pie with pears on Christmas morning.
It keeps getting better with the palette; amazing sweet flavours coming throughout. It doesn’t seem like a 100 proof whiskey at all; deceptively smooth. Easy drinking. Others have mentioned it to be a bit hot, but I don’t find that at all.
This is easily top 3 for me currently and a great value at this price point.
Highly recommended.
Edit- that was based on the first pour.
A few days have passed and it has changed a lot. That burn people talk about is there a bit more.
There is a perfect amount of water to add; when you get it right, it’s apple pie delight
