Johnnie Walker High Rye
Blended — Scotland

This has the distinct Johnnie Walker backbone with a smidge of peat lurking - more so than I pick up in the green label, but less than black. The rye presence is felt in a little more sweetness than I typically find in single malts, and a touch of rye spice. Comes across as more scotch than rye, but the rye is definitely noticed. I enjoyed this as I typically do with most JW blends.

This is a winner for me. Review coming soon.
@soonershrink Gonna get Double Black next, had it few years ago wanna revisit
@Ctrexman I just realized I haven't ever given a rating for Black label. I would say both are in the same ballpark for me on rating. I like the little higher proof on the HR, but the black is such a classic. If I had to pick one, I'd probably stick with the black, but it's definitely worth a try.
Have been seeing this now....you think its better than Black?
Nice review. Was curious about this one, seems like its worth a flier. Cheers!
