Bruichladdich 2005 12 Year Cask Strength (Alexander Murray & Co.)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland

Originally 2.0 stars. Now 0.25 - foul.
Aroma has a very strong barnyard vibe. Baby goats, horse barn, fresh tilled loamy soil, composting wood mulch. Maybe some mushrooms. This is on the far end of unique. Supposedly this is heavily peated, but I have to really search to find any smoke.
This has been opened one month and I have had three separate drams. Normally, I wait till I finish a bottle so I can judge oxidation and how it performs in many situations and moods. Not sure I will get to the end of the bottle. This is more on the uncommon and strange side of unique, rather than rare and exceptional.

It is painful to read that the sacred juice of bruichladich has been tainted so…
Changing this to 0.25 stars. In my bottom 5. Drain pour.
