Beautiful expression from a distillery I’ve never heard of, but am excited to try! :)
On the nose: creamy yogurt, apricot and light fruit purée. Very fruity opening into baked cinammon
Taste: big, abrupt, spicy, and bold. A lot of malty allspice with herbal cinnamon. Very long bold finish. Shifts into a dry lengthy layered linger.
Takeaway: it’s a really nice bottle for the price. A lot of flavor, some very complex pieces here and there. Won’t always go toe to toe with 20+ year 200+ dollar bottles, but really shows the character of the lesser known distilleries of the highlands well. Would definitely buy again.
