Nose: Mellow, full, barrel char and spices, sweet, subtle rye
Palate: complex, thick, smooth
Finish: Like drinking velvet, dill & mint
I must say that I wasn’t expecting to be as impressed by this as I am. If you’re coming from bourbon and venturing into ryes this is a great place to start. The low rye mash bill balanced with the familiar corn sweetness makes this a very approachable rye for the bourbon drinker.
