Light amber color, a bit like weak tea. The nose is a little hard to get past the alcohol, but there are some cinnamon notes. It lets you know it’s 101 proof on the first taste. You also get some caramel and pepper notes. The oak comes through on the finish, but overall this is nothing to spectacular. A touch of water really helps to open things up and mute the alcohol. Definitely some brown sugar and cinnamon with a slightly peppery kick. Definitely a mid grade bourbon. Recommend it with a touch of ice to dilute it slightly, or if you want to forget about life as quickly as possible.
