I have always preferred scotch to bourbon. Until now. The bourbons I've had in the past were sickenly sweet to me. Then I tried Wild Turkey 101. It was love at first taste. The sweetness is subdued and the nauseating cherry taste is far in the background. Everything works perfectly together in this spectacular recipe. I love the proof and the rounded semi-dry flavor. I enjoy it neat with one large ice cube. A 2oz pour keeps the flavor from being overly diluted all the way down. Even in Canada, where it sells for $42, I am a happy man.
