Benji-Robert

Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Reviewed December 18, 2021 (edited January 16, 2022)

3.0 out of 5 stars
Light on flavors, but a heavy-hitter for enjoyability. Nose is wheat, ethanol, rhubarb Mild vanilla, hints of nuts hidden between mild baking spices and wheater sweetness. Faint cinnamon on finish. Sweet, but not syrupy or unbalanced. Kind of a "jammy" full, rounded fruit sweetness, but I do not discern much "fruit" in the palate. Very, very easy drinking without any hot notes or burn, despite the 46% For a bourbon wheater cocktail this could be money, makers is a touch sweet sometimes. For just drinking heaven hill I would probably grab 1783 instead. For actually being a representation of a nicer HH product, this stuff couldn't even carry the shoes of something like HH7yr bib Shots: MM46 > Weller SR > this Neat Mm46 > this > Weller SR Cocktail This/mm46 (tie) >>> Weller

@Benji-Robert Look for some sweet potato notes, BDanner called that one out and I for sure picked it up
