Lagavulin Offerman Edition Guinness Cask Finish
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland

Very light amber color, almost more yellow. The aroma is heavy with the smoky peat. Some lighter grass and vanilla notes in the background. The first taste is brown sugar with pepper notes. As you let it work in the mouth the malty notes of the Guinness come through subtly along with some smoke. The finish is warm and toasty. It’s a bit less peaty than other Lagavulin’s I’ve had, but for me that is a good thing. Very pleasant, just enough complexity to be interesting, but not some of the more off putting notes of some of its cousins.
