I don't often get an, "Oh, wow!" from my first sip of a new bourbon... But I got it from this one! Smoke; Dark Cherries/Black Forest Cake; Butter; Wood; Spice. Excellent. It's already earned "go-to" status from me. Added 4/5/22: I'm wondering if this happens to anyone else: My original taste knocked me out, as you can see from my original post above. However, upon subsequent pours, this fell out of favor with me. It even finished dead last — out of 6 bottles, including a few cheaper ones — in a blind taste test. Strange.
