New bottle, new barrel. This single barrel seems just a notch above my previous bottle of 4R single barrel. Sweet floral nose goes right into a a honey sweet floral palate. Super smooth with soft cinnamon and toffee notes. Mild oak with not much leather and zero bitterness on the finish. At 100 proof it's just a nice little buzz on your tongue. So far I've enjoyed all of these bottles that I've tried, and this one is my favorite thus far.

I’ve had 2 mediocre bottles and one that seemed a cut above. Sorry @BDanner about yours - sounds like the barrel or warehouse placement was way off.
@BDanner oh man sorry to hear that. I guess you never know with a single barrel, although you would think the folks at 4R would blend those less stellar barrels into something else. I had a similar experience with a 1792 sib. It really didn't even measure up to the small batch 1792.
Just picked up a bottle and complete opposite experience. Worst one I've had. I need to note the warehouse it came out of and avoid it. Hot, thin, over oaked, and bitter. I'm hoping a little time open may help it.
