Roughly 7-8 years in my bourbon journey, and I'm just getting to this... That said, this is a good single barrel bourbon. Different than what my palate prefers, but still very good. Dark fruit, oak, and a touch of cinnamon on nose. The same for the palate, with a touch of heat. The finish is a bit spicy, but smooth at the same time. I'm drinking this neat, in an glencairn glass, interested to try on ice, and as a cocktail. Four Roses small batch makes an excellent honey smoked whiskey sour, I don't know if these notes would from the single barrel will do the same. All in all FRSiB is a good drink.
