Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon

Is this the star of the bottom shelf? I have passed by this more times than I could count, but the recent @Milliardo review convinced me to finally fork over the hard-earned $11.95 for a bottle, and that's not the cheapest I've seen it in town.
Now, there's not a lot to this. It's pretty much high fructose corn syrup all the way down, but it's surprisingly drinkable for 12 bucks. There's a little funk on the finish, a parting shot that serves as a reminder that this did come from the bottom shelf. But at the price, it's not much of a quibble. I could actually see keeping this in the cabinet, if for nothing else as a cheaper ingredient than I normally use for my favorite smoked salmon recipe. I think it could also work as a good comparison point for younger craft bourbons. I suspect there are many that can't pass the better-than-12$-bourbon test.

@DjangoJohnson is only a Washington or two more here.
@DjangoJohnson @BDanner I'll have to check that one out - looks like it's all of 87 cents more locally.
@BDanner yes the 1783 is a significant step up from this for only another Lincoln
It's around $17 here, but still a decent value, especially in the handle size when on sale. Like you, it's my go to for recipes calling for bourbon and as a base for infusions, and just as a pour over ice when in the mood. Now that the 1783 has upped its proof and is in the same price range, I usually reach for it now.
This was a staple for me for a while. Good cheap solid bourbon. Im not interested anymore but good to cut bourbon teeth on
This reigns supreme for me in the sub-$20 category. At $25, competition gets stiffer with Early Times BiB offering a pretty significant improvement over this one. Wish I could find it near here.
