Nose- Brown sugar, vanilla, hint of coconut and fresh pineapple. "BOURBONY" to say the least.
Palate- light brown sugar, caramel, oak, and a hint of dark chocolate. The tropical fruits- mango, pineapple, and banana are playful and come front and center towards the end of the sip. A bit of ethanol backbone that rounds out the sweeter notes.
Finish: nice long almost bourbon finish. Leaves on a note of chewy, juicy fruit gum.
Overall- I love stuff from Foursquare! Being a bourbon fan this is so easy to transition to. It has some bite, but has some tropical fruit and pleasant sugar notes. Imagine taking your favorite whiskey on vacation to the tropics- this is it! Paired great with a Cohiba Maduro

@Swahili1 10-4. sounds like it’s a good one, as usual for Foursquare
It is a bit different tasting. I think it is a slightly higher proof too. Likely the same rum but 2 more years in the barrel. Bottle is the same though. @bigwhitemike
@Swahili1 @Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington. Is this one different than the “10 year”? Bottle looks identical but wasn’t sure if there were two variants floating about.
pretty easy to get by me. sat on shelves like most good rum often does. Dying to try it in kind a "rum based" old fashioned. I think with some bitters and a touch of simple this could crush it! definately a good sipper and will hold up in any rum cocktail@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington
Not really. Was recommended to me by the liquor GM at Binny's. kind of sat on the shelf like most rum tends to do. I like what 4 Square does with their aging and finishes so I said, "what the hell." was a good choice
This one wasn’t even on my radar, was it a pain to track down?
